To Whom It May Concern:

 

I have sent this letter to dispute several errors I have observed on my credit report. I have requested for a copy of my credit file from your organization and you have provided me a document on April 10, 2010. However, I felt disappointed over the inaccurate details I have seen on my personal report. Thus, I am requesting you to correct the information on my records as soon as possible.

 

I have enumerated below the disputed items as well the actions I would like you to perform regarding these items:

 

Error 1: Wrong Credit Card Account Number

 

The credit report you have provided me reflected this credit account number: 765432. However, the credit card I have secured from MTCD Credit Card Company has this account number: 756432. I believe that you have the contact details of this credit card company. So may I request that you verify my actual credit card number with my card issuer? After doing this, I hope that you can correct this minor glitch on my credit report. You will also find a scanned copy of my credit card attached to this dispute letter, for your reference.

 

Error 2: Credit Report did not declare Credit Card Transaction # 56743-0098.

 

I have charged a purchase on my MTCD credit card on March 15, 2010 which corresponds to credit card transaction # 56743-0098. But, I have observed that you did not include this account on the credit report you have supplied to me. Kindly send information pertaining to this missing information on my credit file, and do include this transaction on the updated credit report you will be sending to me. I have also attached a proof of credit that you can use as a reference regarding this card transaction.

 

Error 3: I did not take a secured home loan from JET Financing Corporation.

 

I have observed a secured home loan reflected on my credit report. As far as I can remember, I did not open a credit account from JET Financing Corporation. Your agency might have committed a mistake regarding this account. Please perform the necessary investigation and verification activities regarding this loan. Should you find my claim valid, please delete this credit account from my credit records right away.

 

I believe that the Fair Credit Reporting Act mandates credit reporting bureaus to respond to claims and disputes within a period of 30 days upon receiving the notice from their consumers. Therefore, I will be expecting a detailed report of your investigation as well as my corrected credit report exactly one month after you receive this letter.

 

I would also like you to make the necessary changes to some of my personal information. I have recently transferred to a new apartment within the city. So, kindly change my mailing address to: <insert new address>. Please send the document I have requested from your agency to this new address.
